Anna Lang
Current Residence: San Diego, CA
Date of Birth: July 7, 1978
Profession: Cyclist and Graduate Engineering Student
Before college, Anna found outlets for her athletic talent in soccer and volleyball. But it was as an undergrad at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo that she started racing. Right away Anna knew she had finally found the sport that was right for her and spent the next two years racing competitively. After graduation, Anna began a new job and didn’t train or race very much. But two years later, she headed back to graduate school for a PhD and a lifestyle more condusive to training. During this time Anna started training and racing on a track, and just three short months later fulfilled a goal she thought was gone with her undergraduate days of winning a National Collegiate Title. It took her only a year to add two more and an elite title, too.
In 2007, Anna stared racing on the road again with the intent of supplementing her track racing. But success followed Anna, and 2007 turned out to be a banner year for her. On the road, she placed first in the Cougar Mountain Classic, Barrio Logan Grand Prix/ California State Championships, 2007 bronze medal in the Criterium National Championship and Valley of the Sun Stage Race Criterium. Anna was impressive on the track, too, taking first place in the 2k pursuit, setting a track record in the 500m, Match Sprints, Team Sprint & Omnium at the Collegiate National Championships.

Rebecca Larson
Current Residence: Athens, Ga.
Date of Birth:
Profession: PhD candidate and competitive cyclist
Rebecca grew up in athletic family in Boulder, Colorado. Her father was a cyclist and her mother was a runner. She started out following in her mother’s footsteps, but after attending a couple of her father’s races she traded her running shoes for a bike and fell in love with the sport. Ten years later, Rebecca is the reigning national collegiate cycling champion for the University of Florida.
After graduation from Florida, Rebecca and her husband moved to Bulldog country where she is pursuing a PhD in exercise physiology at the University of Georgia. She and her husband love living in Athens as it’s a great place to ride and home base for the team.
Some of Rebecca’s best cycling memories include the 2006 collegiate nationals criterium, where she began her attack on the backside of the course and soloed in for the win. Making the win even sweeter was seeing her husband Dan jumping up and down for joy at turn one as she crossed the finish line. Another fond memory is winning the sprinters jersey at the Nature Valley stage race this year. She credits the entire Aaron’s team for always placing her in the right places to go for sprint points.
Rebecca attributes her love for the sport to the difficulties she encounters and her competitive drive to overcome them. And like many other cyclist, one day she’d like to see that competitive spirit take her all the way to the Olympic Games.

Kristin Sanders

Date of Birth:
Profession: Competitive cyclist and advertising account manager for Cox Radio Miami
Kristin’s life has been an evolution in sport. She grew up on a small horse farm just west of Indianapolis and showed horses nationally until she was 13.
